Dr. Emmy Betz is an Emergency medicine physician who trained at Yale University, John Hopkins, and a Harvard-affiliated residency. She is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she is the founding director of the Firearm Injury Prevention Initiative. Dr. Betz promotes respectful, collaborative, science-based approaches for injury prevention, with a particular focus on firearm suicide prevention. She will be discussing her journey and presenting data regarding gun violence.
