ENCOURAGE NEW CITIZENS TO REGISTER TO VOTE!
After the swearing-in ceremony, LWVBC volunteers will invite new citizens to register to vote online using their own smart phones and a QR code that directs them to the Secretary of State's website govotecolorado.gov. The new citizens may also use the LWVBC Chromebooks to register directly with Secretary of State's office and they will also be receiving informational packets directing them to voter registration options and other new voter resources.
The ceremony starts at 2:15 PM and the new citizens will likely want to access the Secretary of State's website beginning about 3:15PM with registration activity lasting approximately 30 minutes. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to watch the ceremony.
Volunteers are asked to arrive by 2PM.
LWVBC member Jeanine Pow is the volunteer leader for this event.
