Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment names Molly Siegel as OGVP Director

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is pleased to announce Molly Siegel, MS, as the new director of the Office of Gun Violence Prevention (OGVP).

We were pleased to have had a strong pool of applicants, and fortunate that Molly was among those interested in the role. Molly brings extensive experience in public health management and a deep commitment to driving impactful outcomes through collaboration with diverse stakeholders. She joins CDPHE from Unite Us, where she has served as an associate director since 2020, leading multi-state public health initiatives focused on program implementation, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

A graduate of the London School of Economics with a master’s degree in International Health Policy, Molly’s career includes leadership roles at Rocky Mountain Health Plans, the University of Illinois and Hospital Chicago, and the American Medical Association.

As OGVP director, Molly will guide the office’s mission to reduce firearm injuries and advance evidence-based gun violence prevention strategies. Her responsibilities will include engaging with community and national partners, overseeing program outcomes, and managing the office’s budget and staff.

Molly will begin her role on December 16, 2024, and plans to conduct extensive outreach to stakeholders statewide in the new year. Please join us in welcoming Molly to CDPHE and the Office of Gun Violence Prevention!
