About this event

Come enjoy the beautiful lobby area at The Arts Hub in Lafayette! Arrive around 5:00 to socialize, network, and sign the petition for a Graduated Income Tax in Colorado. Catered food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Cash bar available for wine and beer.

Then, at 6:00, we will adjourn to the auditorium to learn about proposed ballot initiative #195 for a Graduated Income Tax. We will hear from Caitlin Schneider of the Colorado Fiscal Institute about how this proposal will reduce income taxes in Colorado for 97% of taxpayers, while raising additional revenue to help with Colorado's budget. First, we need to get enough signatures to get it on the ballot. Then we need to tell friends and neighbors about it, and get it passed in November. Even though this is about taxes, it can be quite interesting, especially with Caitlin as our speaker!

Because this is a catered event, PLEASE REGISTER if you plan to attend. No charge to register, but a $5 donation would be appreciated at the door, to help offset venue and appetizer costs.

Co-sponsors: AAUW Longmont, Colorado Fiscal Institute
