HELP NEW CITIZENS REGISTER TO VOTE!
The LWVBC has been invited to come to a new citizens swearing-in ceremony and provide voter registration services after the attendees have their citizenship. We need six trained voter registration drive volunteers for the event. For direct access to the volunteer sign-up webpage, CLICK HERE .
After the ceremony, LWVBC volunteers will invite the new citizens to register to vote online using their own smart phones and a QR code that directs them to the Secretary of State's website govotecolorado.gov. During the VRD event, the new citizens may also use the LWVBC Chromebooks to register directly with Secretary of State's office or fill out a voter registration drive form under the care of a trained VRD volunteer. The new citizens will also be receiving informational packets directing them to voter registration options and other new voter resources.
The ceremony starts at 4:00PM and the registration process may take place beginning about 5:00PM and last approximately 30 minutes. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to watch the ceremony.
