2010 LEAGUE POSITIONS ON BALLOT ISSUES

The League of Women Voters may choose to take a position on a ballot issue if we have studied the issue and the ballot issue proposal has been reviewed with respect to our Program Positions. Program Positions result from extensive study, member discussion, and consensus.

 

Boulder Valley School District 3A: NO POSITION

 

Boulder County

  • 1A: SUPPORT (we support programs that encourage public responsibility for children's welfare while recognizing primary importance of parents; support government assistance for meeting basic human needs)

  • 1B: SUPPORT (LWV supports the acquisition and resource management of Open Space lands, funding sources that include taxes, and management and stewardship of land as finite resource) 

 

City of Boulder

  • 2A: NO POSITION

  • 2B: SUPPORT (LWV supports energy conservation and use of renewables; also promotes public understanding participation in resource management decisions)
